Spell LOVE as T.I.M.E.

My son's kiddy school has organised a very fun family activities, with slogan `40 days focusing on the families'. The activities ranging from lantern making competition, treasure hunt, kite making & flying, fishing competition & etc and it all fall on Sunday. The purpose of this events is to spend time together with family. I believe everyone of us are busy dealing with rountine day work and work very hard to earn money for family. We may truly love our family but this is usually not reflected in the time we spend with them. So, these are the events that very intentionaly giving our family the due priority; especially concerning the time we spend together.

We have taken part in lantern making., see the photo.., the bumble-bee was the creation from my family member and the kite was made from our family too.., do you know what ? We won the first prize for both ! Yeah !!..., as for others events, though we didn't get any prizes but we are happy being spending time together. My kids really enjoy the fishing, even they don't really know what is `fishing' but they enjoyed `picnic'. I hope the rest of polymates, will spend more time with your family too, create sweet memories for your children. That's why i spell LOVE as T.I.M.E. Spending more time with your family, can only created LOVE in your family.

Home Sweet Home

I'm home now. I spent 4 days and 2 nights for this trip (Redang Island). Because of this trip, my son, my husband and i got food poisoning after that. I was hospitalized for 3 days and 2 nights because of food poisoning too. My son took 1 week to recover.

As you see in the pictures, this beach overflows with pure-white sand. This island is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, jungle trekking, boating and canoeing. No fishing is allowed. The collection of corals and other aquatic life is also prohibited. We enjoyed snorkeling in the first day and swimming in the second day. Most of the time, we sit on the beach to enjoy the beautiful view.

Holiday Trip

Dear Friends

During School holiday in June I and family members went to Singapore. My husband and I went to Convention and my children left with my sister in law. Sister in law bring them to Singapore Zoo. This is an educational trip for kids. Attached photos where the kids learn the animal features. The 1st photo show that, my daughter 'eat the leave' just like zirafe. 2nd photo my son smell like a pig. As the pig's nose is very sensitive, they can smell like a dog. ( I think more smart than the dog).. I never seen this in Malaysia Zoo. After my children back from Singapore, they still thinking want to visit the Zoo. For us, we only take one visit to this place as nothing means to us. But the singapore zoo pratice in that way, the children will learn pratically and remember forever. So next time, kids still choose Singapore Zoo.

My first work (tour guide)

Hello my friends, it’s been a while. I’ve just finished my new job as a tour guide. I’m very happy and enjoyed my new work. I had 3 customers from Sabah Malaysia. They treated me very well. They bought me lunch and presents. Also gave me tips on how to improve my service.

First day, I brought them to Mikazuki Ryugujou for spa. My customers didn’t bring their swimming suit so I rented for them. We enjoyed buffet lunch. In the afternoon, there was Japanese festival dance in the hotel. Then enjoyed spa and shopping. See the URL to know more about Mikazuki Ryugujou. http://www.mikazuki.co.jp/ryugu/spa/index.html

Second day, we went to Toyota Car Theme Park in MEGA@WEB. Here you will enjoy taking photo with the latest Toyota car product line and riding the sport car race game. http://www.megaweb.gr.jp/English/ After that, we went to Venus Fort next to the MEGA@WEB. Venus Fort is an indoor shopping center. http://www.venusfort.co.jp/multi/index_e.html In the evening, we went to Odaiba. See URL http://www.date-navi.com/odaiba/. My customers were too tired to finish navigating all the places. We had our lunch at Odaiba. My customers want to buy cheap presents so I brought them to 100 Yen Shop. They bought many things as souvenirs. Most of the goods in 100 Yen shop come from china.

Third day, we went to Asakusa to see the “Sanjamatsuri”. The meaning of “Sanjamatsuri” is three temple festival. http://www.ematsuri.ne.jp/sanja/ We took subway ride from Asakusa to Nogizaka to see The National Art Center Tokyo and Tokyo Mid Town. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/37/Nac_tokyo.jpg Asakusa is an old town but The National Art Center Tokyo and Tokyo Mid Town are newly develop places. http://www.tokyo-midtown.com/en/

Fourth day, I sent my customers to Tokyo Disneyland. (8:30am until 20:30pm) The next day I sent them to Tokyo Disneysea. They like Tokyo Disneysea more than Tokyo Disneyland. http://5th.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/tds/index.html
http://www.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/tdl/index.html

Sixth day, we went to Hakone via luxury train – Romance Car. The weather was great so we were able see Mt. Fuji very clearly. We had visited Ashi Lake, Owakudani and Gora Park. Owakudani, also called Jigokudani ("the Valley of Hell"). "Black jewel eggs" – eggs cooked in the area's geo-thermal heat, are Hakone’s specialty. According to legend, eating one egg is said to add seven years to your life. Of course we tried, the taste of the egg is as usual. It costs 500 Yen per 6 eggs.

Hakone Tozan Train and the Hakone Tozan Bus make frequent runs and are convenient means of transport for visitors to get around to the various attractions in the area. Magnificent panoramas can be enjoyed from the Hakone Tozan Train as it winds up steep grades, the Hakone Tozan Cable Car, the Hakone Ropeway running suspended from heights ranging from 700 to 1,000 meters above ground and the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise, which offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji from Lake Ashi. http://www.hakonenavi.jp/english/introduction/index.html

Seventh day, I sent my customer to Narita airport.

I will strive to be the best tour guide in Japan for Malaysian visitors and to provide the best price for my customers. If you are interested, please contact me.

The National Art Center Tokyo and Tokyo Mid Town

I would like to share some photos that i took during golden week holiday in japan. Click the photo to get a larger view.

See the URL to get more information about The National Art Center, Tokyo. http://www.nact.jp/english/index.html - entrance fee is free. However, I couldn't enter because I visited this place around 6:00pm. The visiting time start at 10:00am and close at 5:30pm. We are late for 30 minutes so the guard didn't allow us to go inside as you can see from the photo. I was able to take one photo.

Below are the pictures that i took at Tokyo Mid Town. Go to this URL for more information - http://www.tokyo-midtown.com/en/about/index.html
We enjoyed shopping and having lunch there. My son had his first beer - "root beer". He told his friends that he drank "beer". He thought that "root beer" is one kind of beer.

As you can see from the photo, inside the Tokyo Mid Town there are many playgrounds. My son likes to climb this aluminum thing. Nearby, there are slide and swing too.

Graduation Ceremony

Do you know what is this? This is a Malaysian food. We called it “Nasi Kunyit”. We always eat it when we get together with friends, such as potluck party. I cooked “Nasi Kunyit” on graduation ceremony of my son’s pre-school last Friday.

Earthquake

One of my Mixi’s friend from Australia she is asking me about the earthquake in Japan. She is so worried about me when she heard about the earthquake in Peninsula of Noto. So I’m going to write about the earthquake in Japan today.

As I know that Japan is much more earthquake in the world. Earthquake is always happen in Tokyo too. I lived in Tokyo almost 10 years. I feel many time of earthquake in a year. I feel an earthquake with the body even if the epicenter is far away from Tokyo. I’m not afraid of earthquake because I had experienced with The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in year 1995 before. That time I was in my college’s dormitory. My bed is made of iron. Can you imagine how heavy is it? I’m slept on it. But it moved a lot. Of course, more than 6 thousand people had died in this big earthquake.

My friend is asking me “What do you always do in the first place when earthquake happen?”
First, I always hide under the table. Before, when the first earthquake gone, I will come out from the table and turn off main switch of the gas. But now I didn’t use gas for cooking so I will not worry about the fire anymore. The next step is open the main door of my house. Lucky, my main door is a Sensor door (keyless); I can use my remote control key to open it.

Making home video

I'm headache with making graduation video for my son. Growth record of nine families are saved in this video. All of them are Kevin's best friends.

Here, i would like to show you, one slide of my video. Guess who is this? Does he looks like a girl? Ha ha ha... he is Kevin. When he was 2 years and 9 months, he knows how to count from one to ten in english.

1. Because of the virtual memory of my personal computer was insufficient so i couldn't processed the image files.

2. I changed to use my husband's computer but some of the japanese words became garbage. Because he didn't install japanese language in his computer.

3. Another problem is the file is too big to burn into the 640MB's cd, so I need to resize all the image files. If not my computer will hang up.

4. I bought "DVD" with 4.7giga bite instead of 640mega bite VCD.

5. Anyway, i finished it last night.

Malaysians don't drink much alcohol especially female. However, Japanese likes to drink alcohol regardless of sex and age. By the way, the age limit for drinking liquor in Japan is over 20 years old.

I have never taste alcohol until coming to Japan. The first time I tried alcohol was the day before *** “Ping-Pong” match. I drank many glasses of Sour (alcohol) that is mix with tasty juice. Of course I didn’t notice that I get drunk and slept afterward.

I entered the ** *laboratory without knowing the term “drunk“, maybe in my dictionary there is no word “drunk”. The university students and the master students did unabashedly no matter how much they drank alcohol. I don’t know why I became sleepy soon after I drank alcohol. At least, I knew that I’m “drunk”. After that, I’m afraid of drinking alcohol and I avoided liquor since then.

Recently, many kind alcohol drinks has come to the market. According to some research, some alcohol is good for health and beauty. I envy people who can drink a lot of alcohol for long time. Therefore, I bought one bottle of alcohol the other day. I drink a little every night. I hope I can drink alcohol with my Japanese friends one day.

Graduation travel

We have a very good preschool graduation trip to YATSUGATAKE on March 3 ~ 5. We spent 3 days and 2 nights. The attendance is quite large, 9 mothers, 6 fathers and 15 children.

On the first night we've stayed at the pension in IZUMIGO YATSUGATAKE. It belongs to one of the mother. She prepared everything for us. As you see in the picture, she prepared the "Happy Graduation" message printed on the upper wall and ballons. We had a lot of fun there. All the kids played until midnight. We had the following dinner: Sukiyaki, Shabu-shabu and Yakiniku. After dinner, some of us went for hot spring bath. After hot spring bath, i felt very tired and slept at the same time with the rest of the kids. However, some of the parents kept talking and drinking wine until very late.

I woke up very early the following morning because of the noise of the kids. We had our breakfast before we went to a resort. RIZONARE in YATSUGATAKE Plateau resort is on the southern foot of South Alps and Mt. Fuji. Its construction was built/modeled after Italy in the middle ages. There is an indoor pool, sauna, hot spring bath and delicious dinner. At night, all of us get together in one of the room and enjoyed talking and drinking wine and beer til late night. Some of the kids slept early and some stayed playing games and talking. ..... We couldn't wake up early the following morning. We woke up 30 minutes before the check out time (12:00)..

Happy Chinese New Year

Dear Poliku friends,

I wish you all Happy Chinese New Year.

We went to "Karuizawa Nature Hot Spring" during Chinese New Year (16 Feb ~ 18 Feb). Karuizawa is in Guma Prefecture. It is north of tokyo. As you can see from the pictures, this area is full of snow. In the afternoon the temperature is around -5℃. My son likes to make a snowman, however he couldn't make it. Because he couldn't touch the snow without his gloves.

I took this picture in the early of the morning of the first day of the chinese calender. This picture was taken from the 7th floor of the Karuizawa 1130 Hotel that we had stay. The air is very fresh. The water from the moutain is very good. This area is famous for ski and snowboard.
